Author and Horse trainer Mark Russell came to Scituate, Rhode Island, in April to demonstrate the value of suppling the horse with ground work prior to riding. Our interview with Mark includes an explanation of the work in hand that he was teaching the day of the clinic. Mr Russell’s current book, “Lessons in Lightness”, explains the bio-mechanics of both saddle and ground work with an engaging addition of personal life lessons that helped shape his riding talent.
